Hi {$firstName},
You did it! You got a library card! That card provides access to everything the library has to offer to help you work, play, learn, and connect. Welcome to Kitchener Public Library!

Over the next week or so we'll be sending you a few emails to share our surprising collections, engaging programs, innovative services, and beautiful spaces.

Surprising Collections

Save money by picking up CDs, DVDs, and videogames. Access newspapers, magazines, movies, music, and academic journals, available online 24/7. We even have musical instruments, toys, pedometers, and energy meters. And of course, we have books: In every format, and multiple languages. Check us out.

Engaging Programs

Learn how to knit. Meet new people at Speed Friending. Join a ukulele boot camp, or join us for an engaging evening of live music and stories with some of Canada’s greatest singer- songwriters and authors. Bring the kids for crafting, stories, and songs - but also coding, reptiles, and 3D printing. Join in important community conversations, and connect at your library.

Beautiful Spaces

Join us in the Reading Lounge at Central Library with its soaring ceilings, radiant light, and thought-provoking public art. Join a friend for coffee at Hacienda Cafe. Catch some Vitamin D in the courtyard, or a film in our 200-seat Theatre.  Spend time as a family in our children’s and teen’s areas at every library location. We’ve got the perfect spot for you.

Innovative Services

We can help you research your family tree, start a small business, polish your resume, learn a new language, or take a series of online courses. We also offer a broad range of community and language supports for newcomers to Canada. No matter what you want to do, learn, or become, we’re here to get you started.
